Holidays in Summer & Autumn

Holidays in Maria Alm

An unbelievably diverse hiking and cycling paradise opens up the mountain landscape of the Steinernes Meer and the Hochkönig region to all active holiday makers, and many of these routes can be started straight from our mountain guest house in Maria Alm. You can make use of free public transport thanks to the Hochkönig Card. If you would prefer to walk to the beautiful mountain village of Maria Alm, you can reach it in about 20 minutes on foot. The sun terrace of our cosy guest house is also a popular resting point for hungry hikers and bikers. In addition to this, depleted E-bike batteries can be recharged directly at the hotel.

Activities & Excursions around the Hochkönig

Although the focus of a holiday in summer & autumn in Maria Alm is hiking and cycling, the region has so much more to offer. Water babies can cool off in the Sommerstein adventure pool in Maria Alm. Golf fans will certainly also succeed in teeing off on one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Alps, the 18-hole Urslautal golf course. Those wanting to experience traditional customs first-hand, should visit the harvest festival in Maria Alm. On your family holiday in Salzburger Land, there are several excursion destinations in the Hochkönig region or Saalfelden-Leogang waiting for you. Children find fun and variety on the Prinzenberg Natrun with the Schloss play area and forest ropes course, as well as the forest slide park. In addition to this, the Biberg summer toboggan run, on which you can rapidly dash into the valley over 1.6 kilometres and 63 curves, also provides action & fun for the whole family.  The Pinzgau offers countless alternative programmes, such as the Kaprun Spa or the Maishofen indoor play area, so that a comprehensive selection of activities is ready for you also in bad weather.
